Is it possible to request compensation from an insurance company for damage incurred as a result of the CoVID-19 outbreak?

Various measures and prohibitions related to controlling the spread of the CoVID-19 epidemic have led to a reduction in the volume of business and the occurrence of commercial harm to market entities, as they are unable to carry out their activities or can only carry out their activities in a limited manner (e.g. online sales). Intervention measures will also relieve some borrowers

Pursuant to the Emergency Measures Deferral of the Borrower's Obligations Act (hereinafter: ZIUOPOK), banks (and branches), established in Slovenia, will be required to approve, for borrowers as defined by ZIUOPOK, a deferred payment of obligations (under the loan agreement) for 1 year, which were not due by the time of the outbreak of the epidemic (12.03.2020), provided that the borrower proves that he or she fulfils the conditions set out in ZIUOPOK.
