Execution of cross-border transport services in Austria now simplified

The amendment of the Austrian law governing measures against salary and social dumping (»LSD-BG«), which entered into force as of 1 June 2017, facilitates execution of cross-border transport services. The amending act provides for a so-called »overall posting« of employees, enabling an easier and faster application of work of multiple employees at once for more vehicles at the same time.

EU-US Privacy Shield: Slovenian Information Commissioner authorisation no longer required for transfer of personal data to the US

Slovenian data controllers cooperating with contractual partners from the US when processing personal data no longer need an approval of Slovenian Information Commissioner for transfer of personal data to the US, if their contracting partner is self-certified under the Privacy Shield.

Did Slovenian banks in the case of loans in Swiss francs act unconstitutionally?

On 6 May 2017, the Institute for Constitutional Law in Ljubljana issued a legal opinion in which it contended that Swiss franc-denominated lending by banks was contrary to the Slovenian Constitution and the European Convention on Human Rights.
