This question is linked to a decision by the CJEU, which decided in 2018 that pregnant workers are not entitled to special protection in case of terminations of redundant workers and, consequently, employers may terminate their employment contracts. The decision mentioned above does not impact the Slovene regulation of this area.

Following a period of uncertainty, the Supreme Court adopted Decision VIII Ips 168/2018 on 19 December 2018, in which it provided a guidance to the correct interpretation of collective bargaining with regards to seniority allowance.

An investor who does not wish to proceed with the construction of the building after the building permit has been issued, may lodge a request for annulment of the building permit and, in some cases, simultaneously demand the repayment of the public utilities charge.
